NAFCU Services Free CULookup.com Calculators Top 2 Million Computations in 2012
Washington – NAFCU Services Corporation today announced that CULookup.com’s award-winning financial calculators exceeded more than 2 million calculations by online users for 2012, representing a 22 percent increase from the 1.65 million calculations in 2011. Nearly 545,000 unique visitors performed calculations, either on CULookup.com or on credit union websites.
“The fact that CULookup.com grew so dramatically from 2011 to 2012 and surpassed 2 million calculations is a testament to how eager consumers are to look to credit unions for their financial needs,” said NAFCU Services President David Frankil. “Every week, more and more credit unions are adding these calculators to their websites as a simple way to aid members in making key personal finance decisions.”
The calculators are available to the public on www.CULookup.com, are free for NAFCU members to use on their websites, and are also available to other credit unions for a modest fee. There are more than 30 calculators that cover financial topics such as home buying, saving, borrowing, retirement and auto financing.
Recent enhancements to CULookup.com include color customization for branding and a secure deployment option for websites using HTTPS technology.
NAFCU Services and its Preferred Partners launched the calculators in February 2010 as a free NAFCU-member benefit and for use by other credit unions as well. Since then, over 5,800 customizable calculators have been created by NAFCU members and other credit unions.
