NAFCU’s 2015 Credit Union Compliance GPS is available now

WASHINGTON, DC (March 25, 2015) — The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) 2015 Credit Union Compliance GPS is available now for the credit union industry’s compliance, audit and risk professionals. Written by NAFCU’s highly-regarded regulatory compliance team, this updated electronic manual is a must-have resource for credit union professionals looking to master their understanding of the regulations, laws and guidance affecting the credit union industry.

“With more than 600 pages, the GPS explains complex regulatory language in plain English. It  covers everything from the basic anatomy of a federal credit union to specific regulations from the NCUA, the CFPB and more,” said JiJi Bahhur, NAFCU’s director of regulatory compliance. “The GPS is an unbelievable value because credit unions can purchase one GPS manual and share it with their entire organization at no extra cost.”

The 2015 GPS has more than 30 pages of new material dedicated to CFPB’s Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) integrated mortgage disclosures rule.

Additional highlights of the 2015 edition include:

  • updates on major regulatory changes over the past year;
  • improved user-friendly search functions with additional bookmarks and hyperlinks;
  • study tips following each section for those studying to take the NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) exams; and
  • access to NAFCU’s unique Scope & Applicability Charts to help credit union compliance professionals better understand CFPB’s mortgage rules.

Free copies of the 2015 edition will be given to attendees at NAFCU’s 2015 Regulatory Compliance School, slated March 30-April 3 in Arlington, Va.
