NAFCU’s 46th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo is ‘Making History’ in Boston

BOSTON, MA (July 9, 2013) — Credit union leaders from around the country are gathering today to kick off the National Association of Federal Credit Unions’ (NAFCU) 46th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo, which runs through Friday, July 12 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.

“Credit Unions are critical financial providers throughout our nation providing unparalleled service to their members. NAFCU’s annual conference brings them together each year to discuss important issues and trends,” said Fred Becker, NAFCU president and CEO. “This year’s conference them is ‘Making History’ and the program will help attendees achieve just that, with information to help them meet their members’ needs in our dynamic market.”

The conference features more than 30 educational sessions on credit union business issues, legislation and regulations, a robust Solutions Expo, and numerous networking opportunities. Also on tap is a special charitable event on with Project Night Night in which attendees will assemble tote bags for sick children in the Boston area.

The conference marks Becker’s final address to the credit union industry before he steps down as NAFCU president and CEO. Other highlights of the conference include recognition of the 2013 NAFCU Annual Awards on Thursday, July 11. The awards recognize outstanding credit unions and industry professionals.
