National Credit Union Administration Vice Chairman Kyle S. Hauptman spoke today before the audience of the Credit Union National Association’s 2022 Governmental Affairs Conference. During his remarks, Vice Chairman Hauptman spoke about the importance of innovation, emphasizing two points: the NCUA providing quality service as a regulator and insurer and the impact of cryptocurrency on financial services.

The NCUA is the federal agency created by the U.S. Congress to regulate, charter and supervise federal credit unions. With the backing of the full faith and credit of the United States, the NCUA operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund.
