Nearly 30 local furry friends find loving homes through America’s Christian Credit Union pet adoption
GLENDORA, CA (February 13, 2018) — America’s Christian Credit Union (ACCU) proudly hosted its fourth annual pet adoption day, “Pause For Paws”, this past Saturday at the Glendora headquarters.
The community gathered to support these furry friends through raffle proceeds, grooming services and the provision of permanent homes. The day ended with 28 pets adopted into loving families and a total of $489 raised through the pet-themed raffle. The money raised from the raffle will be donated back to the shelters and agencies represented at the event.
“This year’s adoption event was highly anticipated. Our goal was to hit 14 adoptions, to reach a total of 60 pets adopted over the four-year span of this event,” commented ACCU President/CEO Mendell L. Thompson. “To be able to exceed our goals and watch 28 adoptions happen makes me proud that so many great members of our community have offered forever families to these abandoned animals,” continued Thompson.
ACCU would like to thank the following partners for coming alongside this event to encourage the community to deepen their commitment to building stronger families: Foster Army Animal Rescue, The Crazy Dog Ladies, Priceless Pets, Friends of Upland, Inland Valley Humane Society, Farmers Insurance, Bark 4 Life, Sydnee’s Pet Grooming, Delaney’s Dogs, Rescue Works, Best Buddies Pet Care, Dulcet Designs by Jenn, Hand in Paw, McKinley Children’s Center, VCA Animal Hospital, West Coast Grooming, and Southland Properties.
