NEFCU announces 2018 first quarter community giving donations

WILLISTON, VT (April 25, 2018) — Four times each year, New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) selects four recipient organizations at random to receive $625 each, for a total of $10,000 annually. NEFCU’s community giving donations for the first quarter of 2018 were:

Blue Star Mothers of Vermont (BSMV). The organization will utilize their donation to sponsor the 2nd Annual Blue Star Mothers of Vermont Golf Tournament. Blue Star Mothers of Vermont’s mission includes supporting U.S. Armed Forces, honoring families whose children have died in service to their country and assisting in the care of unsupported mothers who gave their children in service to the nation.

Northeast Disabled Athletic Association’s (NDAA) donation will support the Vermont Chargers. NDAA is a Vermont-based, non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to provide recreational and competitive athletic opportunities for people with physical disabilities and to support disabled athletes in their pursuit of excellence.

Children’s Legacy Partnership (CLP) will devote their donation to help facilitate the Empower Youth Leadership Conference[A1] . CLP provides academic, career, financial, and health education for vulnerable children and families in communities in the U.S. and developing countries.

Essex CHIPs will use their donation to sponsor the FriendCHIPS 5k Race for Mentoring. Essex CHIPs serves youth and their families by providing direct service programs for young people and facilitating partnerships between organizations.
