New CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council white paper discusses #MeToo and rethinking sexual harassment procedures

MADISON, WI (July 12, 2018) — The CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council has published a new white paper, “#MeToo: Rethinking Sexual Harassment Procedures.”

The #MeToo movement has brought a shift in awareness and action against sexual harassment and sexual assault. Both pose significant problems, and awareness, education, and training are helping to defeat them.

Sexual harassment training and procedures have been a consistent element of the human resources function for decades. Yet, in light of the #MeToo movement, new emphasis is being placed on employer responsibility amidst widespread sexual harassment allegations across many industries and organizations.

This white paper covers:

  1. the broader societal reaction to the #MeToo movement,
  2. how it has inspired change, and
  3. how credit unions are responding and making changes within their organizations.

CUNA Council members are eligible to receive complimentary copies of this, and hundreds of other white papers. The paper is available online in the white paper section of www.cunacouncils.org.
