The Foundation awarded $120,000 in grants to five Northwest credit unions
SEATAC, WA (November 15, 2018) — Five Northwest credit unions trying to clear workforce housing hurdles in their communities will now have additional resources. The Northwest Credit Union Foundation (NWCUF) has awarded $120,000 in planning grants to the credit unions, which will further study their local housing and rental markets and create solutions that best fit the needs of their members and communities.
“These credit unions are identifying strategic opportunities to address the workforce housing issues facing their communities,” said Sharee Adkins, Executive Director. “They are in a strong position to make positive impacts on residents’ lives through new lending products and relationships with business and community leaders. We are so pleased to be supporting them in this important work.”
Each credit union awarded a grant is in a community facing workforce housing challenges.
