Northwest Federal plans ribbon cutting for newest branch
Ribbon Cutting for Northwest Federal’s Newest Branch Scheduled for March 26.
Mayor of Herndon, Members and Officials of the Dulles Regional Chamber, Officials from Credit Union Miracle Day, and local business owners to attend.
HERNDON, VA (March 16, 2015) — The official ribbon cutting ceremony for Northwest Federal Credit Union’s Village Center branch is scheduled for March 26 at 5:00 pm. Village Center is Northwest’s second Herndon location, serving the Herndon community, including local businesses.
“Northwest Federal is committed to serving consumers and businesses in Herndon and helping them succeed no matter their financial goals,” said Chris McDonald, Northwest Federal’s CEO. “Our Village Center Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Ceremony will bring together members of the local business community, as well as our charitable partners, in a way that celebrates our continued commitment to both.”
The event is hosted in conjunction with the Dulles Regional Chamber, whose President Eileen Curtis and members will attend. Northwest is an active member of several local chambers, including Dulles Regional. Also in attendance will be Lisa Merkel, Mayor of Herndon.
The ceremony includes presenting a charitable contribution from Northwest Federal to Credit Union Miracle Day (CUMD), an organization that raises funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals around the country. CUMD is one of Northwest Federal’s long-term charitable partners; Director Sarah Turner and members of CUMD’s Board of Directors will attend to receive the donation. Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation, the charitable arm of Northwest Federal, will also present CUMD with a check representing member contributions and fundraisers.
“As Northwest Federal expands its presence in the local communities, we feel it is important to give back to worthy causes, such as Credit Union Miracle Day,” said McDonald. “Our success should be shared with those most in need.”
The new branch is Northwest Federal’s seventh location. Currently, the Credit Union serves more than 165,000 members at branch locations in Chantilly, Gainesville, Herndon, Leesburg, Manassas and Vienna. For more information, visit www.nwfcu.org.
