Nutmeg State North Haven location now open

Credit union expands services in Southern CT

ROCKY HILL, CT (December 17, 2018) — Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union marked the grand opening of its North Haven DMV Express branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on-site this past Friday, December 14, 2018. As the third Nutmeg location in New Haven County and the 11th in the state, this new branch represents the credit union’s significant expansion across Connecticut as well as its growing accessibility for members.

Located at 117 Washington Avenue in North Haven, the branch features full self-service technology designed to provide members with a convenient and streamlined experience. Nutmeg members can use this location to do transactions like account transfers, loan payments, check and cash deposits and withdrawals, get a new or replacement debit or credit card, apply for a loan, and more.

The opening of the North Haven branch and its accompanying DMV Express service further solidifies Nutmeg’s partnership with the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. Like the credit union’s Milford branch, CT residents have the opportunity to easily process license renewals and replacements as well as personal information changes. This service is available to all CT drivers and ID holders. Nutmeg also now offers the ability to schedule your DMV Express appointment online up to two months in advance.

“We are so excited to open our North Haven DMV Express location,” said John Holt, Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union President and CEO. “We are also excited to introduce the ability to make license-renewal appointments online, up to two months in advance, at both North Haven and Milford. All of our technology focuses on ease of use whether for Nutmeg transactions or DMV Express. We look forward to serving more people quickly and seamlessly!”

Nutmeg prides itself on efficiency and offering the easiest experience possible with its services. The often tedious process of renewing or replacing a driver’s license is no exception. For the DMV Express service, new technology has been introduced to help manage traffic flow and now allows visitors to schedule a license renewal or replacement appointment in advance. As an additional convenience, the $8 convenience fee is waived for members of the credit union.
