Nymeo Federal Credit Union awarded two area High School Seniors each with a 2018 Nymeo Believe & Achieve College Scholarship.
Audrey Rudy from Middletown High School and Manchun Xiao from Poolesville High School were this year’s recipients and both received a $1500 scholarship from Nymeo. A committee of judges based the winners on their essays, academic accomplishments and participation in both school and community activities.
“It was a very competitive process this year. We received outstanding applications from high school seniors throughout Frederick and also from our own credit union members. The judges had a difficult time deciding on the winners,” said Vicki Johnston, President and CEO of Nymeo. “Congratulations to all area high school graduates and thank you to those who applied to our scholarship.”
This is the fourth year the credit union has awarded this scholarship. Nymeo also is a Frederick County Public Schools Business Partner and sponsors the Millionaire’s Club as well as many other school-based programs and projects in Frederick, Md.
