Oswego County Federal Credit Union launches a local, mobile discount program for credit union members
OSWEGO, NY (January 29, 2015) — Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU) has implemented a mobile-ready members-only discount program, called Community Cash, to help their members save money at places they shop every day, plus get all the discounts they deserve from other memberships such AAA, AARP, and more. Community Cash iPhone and Android mobile apps make it simple to redeem discounts by alerting users when they are physically near a qualifying discount. The local discounts and mobile delivery platform is provided by Ann Arbor, MI-based Larky, Inc., a developer of loyalty solutions for financial institutions.
“We are very excited to have partnered with so many local merchants and be able to bring these valuable discounts to our members and support our local businesses at the same time.” said Oswego County Federal Credit Union CEO Bill Carhart. “We are always looking for ways to help our members save money. When Larky presented this program where both local businesses and nationally recognized companies could offer a way to help our members shave hundred of dollars on services that they already use, we felt compelled to get involved and make that a reality.”
The free Community Cash mobile app will provide discounts at more than 30 locally-owned businesses in the Oswego community. After downloading the Community Cash mobile app or visiting ocfcu.larky.com, users can search and browse all their discounts (from more than 2,000 organizations including Oswego County Federal Credit Union, as well as entertainment venues, professional associations, and more). The mobile apps use location-based technology to alert users on their smartphones when they are physically near an opportunity to save.

OCFCU members now enjoy perks and discounts at great local merchants like Ontario Orchards, Stability Fitness, Tavern on the Lock, The Bake Shop Eatery, and many more. The mobile alerts are customizable for each user, and allow users to add other national memberships, such as Costco, CVS, Kroger, AARP, USAA, and more.
