People’s Credit Union Elects Board of Directors, Officers and Committee Members
MIDDLETOWN, RI (June 7, 2013) People’s Credit Union held its 91st Annual Meeting of the shareholders on April 25, 2013. The membership re-elected three individuals to serve a three year term on the Board of Directors. They are: Terri Marcucci Fitch, Joseph E. Rosa and William L. Douglas, Jr. The membership also re-elected two individuals to serve a three year term on the Supervisory Committee. They are: Stephen S. Chaffee and David J. Fox, Esq.
At the May meeting of the Board of Director’s, the following members were elected to serve as officers of the Credit Union: Terri Marcucci Fitch- Chair, Louann Lawrence – Vice Chair, Edward T. Lopes, Jr.- Treasurer and William L. Douglas, Jr. – Secretary.
Marcucci Fitch is the proprietor and business forms consultant for Sahagian Associates/Newport, and the proprietor of Hawthorne House Bed & Breakfast, in Newport. She is the human resources manager for Carey, Richmond & Viking Insurance Agency in Middletown. Lawrence is the proprietor of Louann Lawrence, CPA & Associates in Portsmouth. Lopes is the Project Director, Navy Northeast for Balfour Beatty Communities. Douglas is a development officer at St. George’s School in Middletown.
People’s Credit Union’s Board of Directors consists of nine members, all of whom are members of People’s Credit Union. The Board of Directors meets once a month to discuss the general direction and control the affairs of the Credit Union. In addition to the three elected members, the following currently serve on the Board of Directors: David P. Faucher, John J. Greichen, Christopher S. Ottiano, MD, Joseph E. Rosa and John J. Trifero.
The Supervisory Committee makes sure an annual audit is conducted and discussed by the Board of Directors and the appropriate changes are implemented. In addition to the two elected members, the following currently serve on the Supervisory Committee: Michelle Freitas, CPA – Chair and Kevin Chaves, CPA.
People’s Credit Union serves members through six locations in Bristol, Middletown, Newport, North Kingstown, Portsmouth and Wakefield.
