Pioneer WV Federal Credit Union Announces Employee Promotions
Charleston, WV — Pioneer WV Federal Credit Union takes great pride in moving forward at a fast and visionary pace! Moving fast allows for more opportunities for advancement; something that Pioneer continually strives to achieve with a goal of being the employer of choice in WV. So it is with great pride that we announce three employee promotions!
Dan McGowan has been promoted from Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pioneer WV Federal Credit Union to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. McGowan’s team consists of those persons in Accounting, Information Systems, Branch Operations, Compliance, Training, Human Resources, and Facilities along with member investment and insurance advisory services. Eager to bring the team to new heights, McGowan states, “Pioneer is fortunate to have some of the highest caliber staff members to be found in any West Virginia financial institution. It’s an honor to work alongside so many fine, dedicated, professionals whose efforts led to our recognition as America’s Credit Union of the Year in 2012.”
In addition to McGowan’s new role, two other employees have had opportunity come their way. Crystal Francisco has been named Vice President of Compliance & Training. She is excited to begin her new role, stating, “I am truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work for Pioneer WV FCU for over ten years now. I take pride in our organization and the many things we have accomplished to date. So I was honored to recently accept my new role as VP of Compliance & Training. I look forward to working with our terrific staff and assisting each of them to continue to achieve the goals set forth. I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful team as we journey to greatness.”
Lana Krieps also accepted her new role as Vice President of Operations & e-Channels. She plans to take her experiences in the credit union industry to take Pioneer to the next level. “I’ve been in the credit union industry for 29 years and I’m excited for the opportunity to use the knowledge and experience I’ve acquired to enhance Pioneer’s Online Branch, Card Services, and e-Channel operations. As VP of Branch Operations and e-Channels, I am thrilled to work alongside many talented, knowledgeable, staff members and utilize our incredible teamwork to continue our momentum.

Today with an asset base in excess of $148 million, Pioneer provides a full range of financial services to over 12,900 members. We currently have 5 branches and are in the process of building a new branch in Putnam County. Our services are available to anyone who lives, works, worships or volunteers in Kanawha, Putnam, Fayette, Greenbrier, Clay and Roane counties and is an employee of Monroe County Schools. Although most of our members reside within the boundaries of our field of membership, we have many active members throughout the United States.
