PrimeWay announces superhero invasion
HOUSTON, TX (October 18, 2013) — On Thursday, October 17, 2013, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union celebrated International Credit Union Day by announcing the new credit union’s Financial Freedom Fighters educational program. This program educates and informs members on how to take control of their finances. PrimeWay’s Financial Freedom Fighters are everyday credit union personnel disguised as superheroes who educate members and provide resources to help members build financial strength.
“While the official roll out of the program will not be until January of 2014, International Credit Union Day seemed like the perfect opportunity to begin teasing the program,” said Frank Bucci, PrimeWay’s Marketing Director. He added, “The theme ‘Unite for Good’ perfectly matched the idea that we have for the Financial Freedom Fighters; uniting for our members and being their financial champions.”
To launch the Financial Freedom Fighters program, PrimeWay had a superhero photo booth at several branches where members could take a picture as a Financial Freedom Fighter. It also released a trailer introducing the Financial Freedom Fighters on the website www.financialfreedomfighters.com. Several comic book style webisodes are planned as part of the launch of the Financial Freedom Fighters in January. All social media channels were used to introduce the members to the Financial Freedom Fighters.
To explain the superhero theme, Bucci noted, “We wanted a fun way to engage, entertain and educate our members. Superheroes and comic books are a huge draw at the movies. Why not carry that theme to our credit union?”
The metrics in place on the website and internally will allow PrimeWay to determine how well the Financial Freedom Fighters program is received by members. Educating members to the products and services offered by PrimeWay, as well as providing tips and tools to allow members to assess their needs, is expected to result in an increase in loans and accounts with the credit union. PrimeWay believes helping members in a fun and different approach will have positive results for everyone.
International Credit Union Day is a one day celebration of credit unions and their members. With the Financial Freedom Fighters program, PrimeWay to continues to “Unite For Good” well into 2014.
