PSCU back for 8th Year as lead partner of Credit Union Cherry Blossom ten-mile run

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (March 24, 2015) — For the eighth consecutive year, PSCU is lead partner for Washington D.C.’s premier running event, the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run®. PSCU’s sponsorship helps the race’s title sponsor, Credit Union Miracle Day (CUMD), underwrite the expenses associated with staging the event.

The 43rd edition of the Washington D.C. race is set for April 12, 2015. The race is the flagship event in the CUMD family of road races that benefit hospitals in the Children’s Miracle Network. The 2015 run will mark the 14th year of title sponsorship by CUMD. Since 2002, over $6.5 million has been raised for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

In addition to the Washington D.C. race, the CUMD Family of Races this year includes the Credit Union SacTown Ten-Mile Run in Sacramento‚ Calif., also on April 12‚ and two Freedom Ten-Mile Runs for our troops overseas.

Although the races are held in Washington, DC, Sacramento, CA and overseas, the money raised is distributed based on where the contributions are collected. Funds raised support the entire network of the 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

PSCU sends two teams of runners to the Washington, DC event to represent the CUSO; the company’s employees also help in supporting families of hospitalized children by collecting and donating everyday items the families may need while staying with their children.
