Purdue Federal, Brees Dream Foundation Give $50,000 to Purdue Athletes Life Success Program

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN (July 1, 2013) Following a special video message from NFL Saints Quarterback Drew Brees, Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) President and CEO Bob Falk presented a $50,000 check from Purdue Federal and The Brees Dream Foundation to the Purdue Athletes Life Success (PALS) camp on Thursday, June 27.

In his message, Brees encouraged campers to thank their counselors and other people who make a difference in their lives, and to live the four pillars of character—kindness, fairness, caring and courage—emphasized during the camp. He ended his message telling the campers to “each and every day focus on being the best version of yourself you can be.”

Since 2007, Purdue Federal and The Brees Dream Foundation have jointly raised approximately $325,000 for PALS, which provides sports, fitness, life and health instruction to area youth ages 8-14 whose parents or guardians meet Department of Health and Human Services income guidelines. The funds will support operation of PALS, ensuring area youth have a place where they learn valuable life skills during the summer.

Purdue Federal and The Brees Dream Foundation look forward to leveraging the strength of their relationship for the benefit of PALS and the Lafayette-West Lafayette community.
