Raising over $5000 for Red Nose Day

WASHINGTON, DC (May 26, 2015) — On May 26, 2015 Democracy Federal Credit Union reached and exceeded its goal in fundraising efforts for Red Nose Charity. The Red Nose organization is dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty across the world.

Democracy FCU took part in the fundraising efforts three days before Red Nose ended, and reached out to its staff, members and close organizations to participate. This combined effort allowed the Democracy FCU Community to raise $5349.00, surpassing its goal of $500.00.

“Democracy FCU principles and values are parallel with the Red nose Charity. Our efforts and contributions from our staff, members and supporting organizations truly illustrates that Child Poverty is a serious issue which no child or young adult should endure.
