Raising the Bar…Again: Lending Solutions Consulting Announces Certified Lending Expert Designation
Lending Solutions Consulting has partnered with California Southern University to offer an industry best of breed professional designation with the Certified Lending Expert (CLE). The educational offering is a structured program focusing on balancing undergraduate and graduate level coursework, application of education in order to limit the knowing-doing gap, continuing education to maintain professional knowledge, and a standards of practice inclusive of a code of ethics. Rex Johnson, Credit Union Hall of Famer and LSCI President, described the program as “the most significant strategic investment in industry human capital since the University of Lending was created nearly twenty years ago.”
LSCI stated there is already significant interest with many credit unions already signing up for the program; dates for first class are June 3-7 in Chicago, Illinois. The program is comprised of:
1. The Advanced Lending Institute, a robust five day course covering Ethics, Strategic Planning, Consumer and Member Business Lending, Forecasting and Analytics.
2. Requirement for two out of four Online Accredited Undergraduate and Graduate Courses provided through California Southern University including: Introduction to Banking, Principles of Lending, Lending in Consumer and Corporate Markets, and Management in Banking and Financial Services.
3. Agreement to operate within the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
4. Ongoing Continuing Education requirements to ensure CLE designation holders represent the highest professional standard the industry has to offer.
