El Paso’s largest art festival, Chalk the Block (CTB) presented by Raiz Federal Credit Union, returns to the El Paso Downtown Arts District for its 18th anniversary of bringing the community together to celebrate creativity and spotlight the artists who bring the vibrancy of El Paso to life. This free and inclusive family-friendly event takes place this weekend, October 11 and 12, beginning at 10:00 a.m. each day.
As a proud title sponsor since 2023, Raiz will return to the festival grounds with exciting Family Adventure giveaways, featuring experiences at local attractions such as the El Paso Rhinos, La Nube STEAM Discovery Center, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Mesilla Valley Maze, and Urban Air Adventure Park. Ten families will be selected to win four tickets to one of these local outings. Visitors can stop by the Raiz booth, located at the intersection of W. Main Street and N. Oregon Street, to enter for a chance to win, learn more about the credit union, and enjoy a hands-on coloring activity.
To add to the fun, Raiz will also be bringing back the People’s Choice Awards for the Sidewalk Chalk Art Competition. Introduced in 2024, this community-driven contest invites festivalgoers to vote for their favorite chalk masterpiece among student, emerging, and showcase artists.
