RCU Programs Available for Members Affected by Government Shutdown

SANTA ROSA, CA (October 2, 2013)Redwood Credit Union (RCU) announced today they will offer a variety of financial assistance options to federal employees who are impacted by the current government shutdown. These programs include: payroll replacement/advance assistance; deferred payments on RCU loans and lines of credit; early withdrawal of funds from RCU share certificates without penalties; and money management and budgeting information and tools.

“RCU Members are eligible for a variety of assistance programs to help them through the uncertain period of federal government shutdown,” said Anne Benjamin, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Redwood Credit Union. “Redwood Credit Union’s mission is to serve the best interests of our Members, employees and communities, so we are here, ready to serve and assist our Members who are federal employees to maintain their financial well-being.”

RCU Members affected by the shutdown are encouraged to contact RCU if they need financial assistance. The Credit Union will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation as new information becomes available from the U.S. Government.
