SUMMERVILLE, SC (October 16, 2025) |
With fraud tactics evolving faster than ever, REV is convening its fourth annual Knockout Fraud Summit on Friday, Oct. 24. The daylong event will bring together law enforcement agencies, nonprofit organizations, financial institutions and federal partners, including the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Defense’s Office of Inspector General, to share proven strategies for detecting and preventing emerging fraud schemes.
Knockout Fraud has become one of REV’s most anticipated events. Presenters specializing in anti-fraud tactics will lead sessions on fraud prevention for businesses, social engineering and cyber fraud, and methods to close critical response gaps in member and community protection.
“Fraud prevention isn’t just about stopping crime. It’s about protecting trust in our communities,” said Marc Evans, founder of Fraud Hero. “As a fraud and cybercrime detective, I’ve seen that awareness and education are our strongest defenses against evolving scams. I always say, ‘you can’t stop what you don’t know.’ When we turn knowledge into power and vigilance into action, everyone benefits. Together, we can stop fraud before it starts and build a safer, more informed world.” Evans is scheduled to speak on cyber and social engineering schemes, rounding out a selected group of six partner presenters.
“Fraudsters are evolving, and so must we,” said Jessica Cartrette, fraud manager at REV. “Year after year, Knockout Fraud continues to prove that when we share knowledge and work together, we become stronger, more resilient and better prepared to fight back against financial crime.”
