San Diego County Credit Union is a sponsor of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 2, 2013)San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, has announced its sponsorship support of the Susan G. Komen San Diego Race for the Cure, a 5k run/walk fundraiser to be held starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, in San Diego’s Balboa Park area.

More than 15,000 people have participated either as a walker or timed runner at previous Komen Race events in San Diego. The event raises money to help patients and their families and provide funds for breast cancer research. This year’s Race will start and finish on the west side of Balboa Park. The start line will be at 6th Avenue at Palm Street and the finish line on Balboa Drive, south of Quince Street. The pre- and post-event activities take place on the grassy area along 6th Avenue between Laurel Avenue and Quince Street.  The registration cost on the day of the event is $40 per person for adults, $35 per person for military with I.D., $28 for youth ages 6 to 12 and $10 per person for children ages 5 and under.
