San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, is the proud presenting sponsor of the Live Well San Diego 5K and Kids 1-Mile Fun Run, held in partnership with 2-1-1 San Diego.
The races will be held Sunday, July 28 with the 5K starting at 7:30 a.m. and the Kids 1-Mile Fun Run following at 8:30 a.m. at the County Administration Center, Waterfront Park, located at 1600 Pacific Coast Highway in downtown San Diego. Event registration is $20 for adults, $15 for children ages 8-17 and free for children 7 years or younger. Register at livewellsd5k.com. This year’s event is superhero-themed to encourage participants to celebrate the hero in all of us. Proceeds from the events will benefit 2-1-1 San Diego.
Participants are also encouraged to engage in a fun, interactive experience following the races, featuring family-friendly activities and vendors. The event will include opportunities to interact with local military, police and fire personnel, hero-themed activities, Discovery Expo featuring some of San Diego’s leaders in health and wellness, a Kids Fun Zone with bounce houses and games, music, fitness classes, dancing and food trucks.

The County Board of Supervisors launched Live Well San Diego in 2010 with the goal of achieving healthy, safe and thriving communities across the region by partnering with community and city leaders, schools, businesses, non-profit organizations and residents. SDCCU was the first financial institution to be designated a Live Well San Diego partner due to its many efforts to create a healthy, safe and thriving San Diego County.
