Community is welcome at the free family-friendly festival that celebrates the historic North Park neighborhood.
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 13, 2015) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally owned financial institution, is the proud title sponsor of the 19th Annual San Diego County Credit Union Festival of Arts in North Park. More than 40,000 people are expected to attend the event, held along University near 30th Street, which is packed full with entertainment and activities from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015.

The all-day festival will feature local art, exciting live music and dance performances, eco-friendly activities, a variety of shopping opportunities, great food and dozens of vendor booths, including one hosted by SDCCU. The festival will celebrate all types of art forms, including a live art element that will be featured on Herman Street. There will also be a hands-on Kids Art Block, providing kids the opportunity to participate in interactive activities designed to stimulate and inspire their imaginations and create their own masterpieces.
Event proceeds benefit North Park Main Street, the non-profit organization committed to the revitalization of the North Park Improvement District.
The North Park Branch opened its doors last year, providing a convenient location for a large number of customers in the area to attain breakthrough banking products. The branch occupies the first floor of a high-rise office building at 3180 University Ave. Ste. 100, dubbed the “sdccu.com tower.” The building has a unique exterior lighting display designed to embrace North Park’s Arts District, highlighting what Forbes Magazine designated as one of America’s Top Hippest Hipster neighborhoods.
