Scott Credit Union Credit Analyst earns CCRA designation
Victor Bland is now Certified Credit and Risk Analyst
EDWARDSVILLE, IL (December 3, 2019) — Scott Credit Union Commercial Banking Credit Analyst Victor Bland has earned the designation of Certified Credit Risk Analyst.
The special designation, which included academic studies and a comprehensive exam, certifies him to better analyze financial statements and make informed credit risk assessments for business members at the local credit union.
“As we grow our commercial banking portfolio, it is important for us to have a high level of proficiency in this area,” said SCU’s Chief Lending Officer Carrie O’Connor. “We are extremely proud of Victor’s work to earn this designation. His abilities are an asset to Scott Credit Union and our business members.”
Bland earned the designation from the National Association of Credit Management, which has a mission to position business credit professionals for success while setting standards of excellence in business credit and financial management.
“Scott Credit Union has grown its Commercial Banking team in 2019 has expertise in both SBA lending and commercial lending to serve the needs of a wide variety of businesses throughout the region,” O’Connor shared.
“Victor’s designation is another step in growing our expertise,” she added.
Bland, who has lived in the Metro-East since 2007, has a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
