Security Service Federal Credit Union Promotes Shamzy Romero

SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 14, 2013) — Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU) is pleased to announce the promotion of Shamzy Romero to senior branch manager of its Highland Hills location, 1507 Goliad Rd.  In her new position, Romero will be responsible for member service, business development and providing team leadership to ensure an optimal experience for members.

Romero is a 2009 graduate of the City South Leadership Academy and a 2013 graduate of Leadership Northeast. She joined SSFCU in 2003 as a part-time teller and has several years of experience in the financial services industry.  Most recently, Romero served as a business development officer, where she actively participated in financial education programs and community events.

Additionally, Romero formerly served as a member of the board for the Bexar County Chapter of D.A.R.E. and Business Careers High School. She actively volunteers in various organizations such as The Children’s Shelter, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Seton Home and Girls Incorporated of San Antonio.
