Senior centers welcome credit union’s donation of resources to aid clients

Senior centers connect about one million older adults to vital community services and provide opportunities for recreational, educational, and health-promoting activities. After a cold winter and an ongoing pandemic, seniors are eager to head to their local senior center to play cards, attend exercise classes, reconnect with friends, and have some fun.

As a component of TruMark Financial® Credit Union’s Concern for Community initiative, the credit union donated tote bags filled with walking canes, grabbers, and magnifying glasses to local senior centers. Also included were a supply of large print puzzle books and playing cards. ”Wayne Senior Center is so pleased to receive a generous donation from TruMark Financial® Credit Union, a community partner. Our seniors will be delighted to receive the items which will enhance their daily living and contribute to their independence,” said Lisa Nevins, Office Manager, Wayne Senior Center.

The following organizations were grateful for the donation of resources to assist their clients:

  • Central Bucks Senior Center
  • Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services
  • Philadelphia Senior Center on the Avenue of the Arts
  • Phoenixville Area Senior Center
  • Wayne Senior Center
