One of the most consequential barriers to financial inclusion for Hispanic and immigrant consumers relates to documentation requirements at account opening. Get to know the financial needs of immigrants, and how to adequately meet them. Joins us to learn how you can serve this growing population, removing existing barriers with inclusive policies and procedures that comply with applicable rules and regulations.

Miriam De Dios Woodward – Chief Executive Officer, PolicyWorks LLC

Miriam De Dios Woodward is the CEO of PolicyWorks, LLC. She also serves as Senior Vice President of AMC, the holding company of the Iowa Credit Union League and parent organization of PolicyWorks. At PolicyWorks, Miriam leads the team to provide unparalleled compliance solutions to credit unions across the country. Prior to taking this role in 2018, Miriam was CEO of AMC company Coopera Consulting since 2012.

Miriam is currently serving on the board of trustees of Grand View University, the board of directors for the Food Bank of Iowa, Iowa State University’s Women in Business Advisory Board and the Iowa Clearinghouse for Work Based Learning Advisory Board. Miriam earned her bachelor’s degree with honors from Iowa State University and her Master of Business Administration degree and leadership certificate from the University of Iowa. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Leading Change and Organizational Renewal executive education program.

Christina Sauve – Incoming CEO of Cooperative Federal Credit Union

Christina Sauve is the incoming CEO of Cooperative Federal, a community development credit union established in Syracuse in 1982. She first joined the staff at Cooperative Federal as Executive Assistant in 2005, and has since held positions of Community Development Coordinator, Assistant Treasurer, and COO. Christina also served on the New York Credit Union Association Young Professionals Commission and is a former member of the Credit Union National Association Hispanic Outreach Committee.

Laura Mendoza – Immigration Organizer at the Resurrection Project

Laura Mendoza obtained her Bachelors in Social Work at Northeastern Illinois University. She is an Immigration Organizer at The Resurrection and started her position just days after the inauguration of the current president. In the last 2 years and 9 months she has worked with the City of Chicago’s Legal Protection Fund program which aims to provide information and legal resources to immigrants by training community members as navigators.

This is the first position in which Laura has been able to directly address her own immigration status. She is a DACA recipient from Mexico and came to the US at the age of 7.
