SIU Credit Union New Branch in Harrisburg!

SIUCU has opened its newest branch today!

CARBONDALE, IL (April 1, 2013) – The SIU Credit Union board of directors, management, and staff are pleased to announce a merger with the Southeastern Electric Employees Credit Union (SEECU) that was completed on April 1, 2013.

“We are very happy to welcome Southeastern Electric Employees Credit Union’s over 1,100 members and employees to the SIU Credit Union family,” said Dennis Schaefer, SIU Credit Union President and CEO.  “This merger allows us to strategically expand our branch network.  We continue to execute on our brand promise, which is to bring consistent value and convenience to our members.  We do this with great rates on loans and deposits and excellent customer service.  And, we continue to offer free checking accounts and products and services with no or low fees.  We work hard so our members can truly benefit from the value our credit union delivers.”

The merger adds a branch location in the former SEECU facility located at 540 N. Commercial St., Suite 700 in Harrisburg, IL.  New facility hours will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

SIU Credit Union is currently celebrating it’s 75th Anniversary in 2013 and is over $260 million strong, with 84 employees who serve more than 31,000 member/customers at 5 locations throughout Southern Illinois. The merger will bring the number of SIUCU locations to 6.
