South Jersey Federal Credit Union appoints Ernest D. Huggard as Chief Executive Officer

South Jersey Federal Credit Union (SJFCU) announced that Ernest D. Huggard will serve as Chief Executive Officer and President.

From July 2017, Huggard served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since May 2015. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Charted Global Management Accountant.

Huggard is retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the New Jersey Army National Guard after 28 years of service.
He recently retired from the Board of Education of Galloway Township serving since 1998 and has served as President for 17 years. He serves on the New Jersey Credit Union League board of directors.

"On behalf of the SJFCU Board of Directors, we are thrilled to welcome Ernie into his new role as Chief Executive Officer,” said Dr. Anthony DiFabio, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Ernie’s dedication to the Southern New Jersey region and his proven leadership skills will help to enhance the SJFCU experience for both employees and members."

Huggard earned his Bachelor of Science from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his Masters of Business Studies from Stockton University.
