FALCON HEIGHTS, MN (April 29, 2022) — During his fifteen-year Major League Baseball career, Oliva won three American League batting titles and the 1964 Rookie of the Year Award. He will be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame this summer. Oliva has called Minnesota home since his arrival to the state from Cuba in the early 1960s, raising his family here and dedicating his time off of the baseball field to giving back to the community.

The partnership will include television commercials and other advertising beginning this summer. SPIRE will also be supporting the Twins Community Fund and other charitable causes chosen by Oliva.

Oliva and his wife, Gordette, reside in Bloomington. They have been married for more than 50 years and have four children and multiple grandchildren. Oliva actively volunteers for numerous charities and can still be found at the ballpark whenever there’s a game.
