Spring CUNA Mutual Group Protection Webinars All About Credit Union Employees

Sessions Offer Policyholders Strategies for Minimizing Workers’ Compensation, Employment Practices Liability Losses

MADISON, WI – CUNA Mutual Group’s spring Credit Union Protection webinars deal with employees and how credit unions can help keep them healthy and safe while minimizing exposure to costly losses for workers’ compensation and employment practices liability.

The April 17 webinar topic is, “The Aging Workplace & Worker Safety.” The number of workers over age 55 has increased rapidly. Presenters will discuss the realities of the aging workforce, the impact it can have on safety, and practical ideas to help reduce disabling workplace injuries that cost businesses millions of dollars annually.

On May 15, CUNA Mutual Group will discuss “Employment Practices.” In these turbulent economic times, workplace discrimination charges and employment practices liability lawsuits are rising. This session will explore the latest workplace issues and actionable steps to help reduce a credit union’s employment practices liability claims exposure.

Registration is now open for these sessions, available exclusively to CUNA Mutual Group’s Fidelity Bond policyholders. All webinars are one hour long and begin at 10 a.m. Central Time.

“The webinars are provided as a no-cost, value-added benefit for policyholders, who can participate without stepping away from their desk,” said Brad Mundine, CUNA Mutual Group senior manager of Credit Union Protection Risk Management.

In 2012, more than 9,000 credit union professionals registered to attend a Credit Union Protection webinar.
