Spring Flings with First Financial FCU and BCPS
LUTHERVILLE, MD (May 2, 2018) — At First Financial Federal Credit Union of Maryland, Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) are considered the heart and soul of our member base. Within the month of May, our partnership will be highlighted through many sponsorships at school events and our effort to support the BCPS community any way possible.
May 5th – To kick off an exciting month, First Financial has signed on as a sponsor of Team BCPS 5k Wellness Day. The 5k Wellness Day will be held at Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, Maryland. This annual event will feature an improved 5k course available to walk or run. Participants can also take part in a 1 mile family fun walk. The event will include food trucks and a kid zone to round out the exciting event. Representatives from First Financial will be onsite to offer financial fitness tips, so stop by!
May 8th -First Financial will be sponsoring a welcome luncheon for the new teacher hires from Puerto Rico. Each year new teachers from Puerto Rico are recruited by BCPS to address a critical need for more bilingual teachers, specifically those who can speak English and Spanish. First Financial is proud to welcome these new teachers to our community.
May 12th -First Financial FCU will have a mortgage and financial counseling booth at the 5th Annual Dundalk Housing Fair & Neighborhood Tours, from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm, at Dundalk High School. This informative event will feature educational workshops, bus tours, Kid Zone, and credit counseling. Join Dundalk Renaissance Corporation and First Financial for this eye-opening, educational experience.
