Student Choice Strengthens Client Relations and Education Team with Addition of Industry Veterans

Washington, D.C. (January 30, 2013)Credit Union Student Choice, the foremost provider of higher education financing solutions to America’s credit unions, announced the addition of Steve Wynne and Tyler Disburg to its expanded Client Relations and Education team.

“We’re thrilled to add Steve and Tyler to the Student Choice team,” said Melissa Hunt, Student Choice’s Vice President of Client Relations and Education. “Both bring in-depth knowledge and expertise, ranging from student lending and higher education to credit union marketing and operations. This type of broad-based experience will be of tremendous benefit to our nearly 250 partner credit unions and their members.”

Wynne joins Student Choice after spending the last ten years at Sallie Mae, where he led business development efforts and managed marketing communication strategies across multi-level distribution channels for existing school customers. In addition, he developed content and was lead facilitator for sales forums and customer webinars. Wynne is also an active member of the American Society of Training and Development, the International Society for Performance Improvement, and the Society of Human Resource Management.

Disburg joins Student Choice with nine years of credit union experience, including the last six in a credit union senior management role. His experience ranges from marketing and business development to asset liability management and employee development. Disburg also served the credit union industry as a member of CUNA’s Marketing and Business Development Council Executive Committee.  Prior to joining the credit union movement, Disburg spent six years lobbying for Higher Education, which led him to additional political and regulatory roles within the credit union system.

“Steve and Tyler will be working closely with our partner credit unions on all aspects of the Student Choice program to help them maximize value for both members and the credit union,” said Hunt. “That hands-on support also includes such activities as on-site staff training, consumer education seminars, and visits to college financial aid offices to heighten the awareness of the credit union’s solution.”
