Summit Credit Union awards over $65,000 in scholarships
GREENSBORO, NC (April 26, 2022) — Summit Credit Union is pleased to announce awarding over $65,000 in scholarship grants for fall 2022 and spring 2023 semesters. Sixty-seven students were selected based on their academic achievements and their involvement in school and communityrelated activities. The scholarship funds issued will be used towards each recipient’s collegerelated expenses.

One of the pillars of Summit Credit Union is encouraging financial literacy and education to the communities we serve. In support of this mission, we are glad to offer educational opportunities and scholarships to our members,” says Sam Whitehurst, President and CEO of Summit Credit Union.
Summit Credit Union offers scholarships to any member, adult, or high school senior who expects to attend an educational program beyond high school as a full-time student. Scholarships are given through the Elizabeth H. and James V. Hamilton Scholarship Fund. Applications for the next academic year of 2023-2024 can be submitted for consideration on our website beginning October 1, 2022.
