Superior Choice Credit Union (SCCU) announces their 2022 scholarship recipients

SUPERIOR, WI (May 20, 2022) — Superior Choice Credit Union (SCCU) announces their 2022 Scholarship Recipients. Five college-bound members will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the university or trade school of their choosing. Recipients were chosen based on academic achievements, community involvement, the upholding of SCCU’s core values, and plans for their future. There were over 50 applications, so choosing five recipients was not an easy task. Tim Foster, CEO and President said, “The Scholarship Committee and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each applicant through their written application. The 5 scholarship recipients that we chose are making a big impact in their communities, a value that is near and dear to the Credit Union.”

The Scholarship winners are as follows:

Emma Grunseth from Gilman, WI—Emma considers herself a listener who enjoys playing sports. She wants to study psychology and become a child therapist.

Alexandra Granica from Exeland, WI—Alexandra loves to be active, enjoys baking, and volunteering in her community. She aspires to be a nurse and start nursing school in the fall.

Emma Cooper from South Range, WI—Emma is a three-sport athlete and also involved in the Pledgemakers, Hope Squad and NHS. She plans to study Business and Marketing.

Arryn Clanaugh from Duluth, MN—Arryn describes herself as a unique person with a variety of hobbies including the outdoors, social justice work, and Formula 1 racing. She plans to attend Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Elysa Cahill from Superior, WI—Elysa enjoys spending time outdoors and twirling baton. She considers determination to be one of her personal values. Elysa will attend University of Minnesota Duluth for Biology to become a pediatric oncologist.
SCCU is excited to award these scholarships and see what the future brings for these outstanding students.
