Susquehanna Service Dogs wins third annual PSECU Gives Back campaign

HARRISBURG, PA (November 14, 2019) — Pennsylvania’s anytime, anywhere digital credit union, PSECU, recently announced the winner of its third annual month-long PSECU Gives Back popular vote-based community donation campaign. Selecting from four potential nonprofit organization beneficiaries, PSECU members and non-members alike took to Facebook to select this year’s winner – Keystone Human Services’ Susquehanna Service Dogs.

As the winner of the PSECU Gives Back campaign, Susquehanna Services Dogs will receive a $2,200 donation from the credit union to support its mission.

“85 years ago, our founders started PSECU with the goal of helping themselves and others achieve a better life through shared financial opportunity, and today we strive to follow that community betterment-based legacy in everything we do,” explained PSECU President and CEO George Rudolph. “The PSECU Gives Back contribution total of $2,200 is a nod to our 22 founders who started our ‘gives back’ legacy. We thank everyone who took the time to cast a vote and help decide which of the four outstanding nonprofit organizations should receive extra funding.”

“Susquehanna Service Dogs is honored to have been chosen by PSECU as one of the four organizations participating in this year’s PSECU Gives Back campaign. Thank you PSECU and every person who voted for us. Your generosity allows us to continue the important work of changing lives!” said Susquehanna Service Dogs Director Pam Foreman. “We believe deeply in the purpose of this campaign – bringing about positive change in the community we share. People partnered with our assistance dogs report they are better spouses, parents, friends, students, employees, and community members.”

The remaining three 2019 PSECU Gives Back participating nonprofits – Feeding PennsylvaniaPA Breast Cancer Coalition, and Special Olympics Pennsylvania – will also each be awarded $500 to support the outstanding services they provide to communities across the commonwealth.

“PSECU Gives Back is just one aspect of PSECU’s strong, ongoing commitment to community betterment. Our year-round charitable sponsorships and corporate donations, financial education programming and resources, and employee volunteerism supported by the credit union’s more than 900 employees, all play an important role,” said Margaret Delmonico, PSECU Director of Public Relations. “To learn more about PSECU’s community involvement across Pennsylvania, please read our 2018 Community Report Card.”
