Sven Leander of Financial Center Federal Credit Union honored as emerging credit union leader

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 8, 2013) — Sven Leander of Financial Center Federal Credit Union is a recipient of the 2013 Emerging Leadership Award from the Indiana Credit Union League.

Leander is Director of Lending Operations at the credit union, which includes the VISA Department, mortgage loan processing and indirect auto funding. In the time he has been in this position he has exceed several goals and streamlined processes to improve efficiency and the credit union has received certificates of excellence for credit card activity. He is also a certified Compliance Officer, and he is a member of ignite—the League’s initiative which provides a forum for new idea exchange/implementation, collaboration and networking for Indiana’s credit union leaders and emerging leaders.

The Emerging Leadership Award was developed in order to recognize the next generation of credit union leaders in Indiana for their accomplishments and for their potential to be an Indiana credit union leader in the future. Leander was honored September 27 during the Chairman’s Awards Banquet, a special event during the Indiana Credit Union League’s annual convention.
