SWBC Mortgage Announcements

SAN ANTONIO, TX (November 5, 2012) – SWBC is pleased to announce that SWBC Mortgage Corporation has been approved as a Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA) issuer in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Ginnie Mae I and II single-family mortgage-backed securities program. SWBC Mortgage can now service Veteran’s Affairs (VA) and Federal Housing Administration (FHA) loans that we close.

“This is an important step toward operating as a completely independent mortgage banker, and it allows SWBC Mortgage to better serve our customers over the life of their loan,” said Susan Stewart, President and CEO of SWBC Mortgage Corporation.

Late last year, SWBC Mortgage was also approved by Fannie Mae to service selected conventional loans they close – representing a huge step forward in the level of service SWBC borrowers receive.

SWBC is also pleased to announce that Susan Stewart, President and CEO of SWBC Mortgage Corporation, was recently named by the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG) to serve a two-year term on RESBOG. RESBOG is the governing body for MBA’s single-family residential members, responsible for establishing legislative and regulatory policies and positions on residential lending issues.
