Launch Credit Union donates to Brevard Indian River Lagoon Coalition
MERRITT ISLAND, FL (May 19, 2022) — Launch Credit Union celebrated Earth Day by encouraging its members to enroll in e-statements to reduce paper waste. 979 members enrolled in e-statements during the month of April, which resulted in a savings of approximately $1,900 to the credit unit in terms of the cost of postage and paper. Launch rounded that up to $2,000 and donated those funds to the Brevard Indian River Lagoon Coalition.
“Our employees and our members live and work in the Indian River Lagoon area. We wanted to give back to our community and help make an impact on keeping our environment a safe and clean place for generations,” says Carli Barr, Digital Marketing Specialist for Launch CU.

The Brevard Indian River Lagoon Coalition is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, nonpartisan organization seeking and facilitating education and collaboration–bringing together organizations, businesses and individuals who share the goal of supporting restoration of the Lagoon. The Indian River Lagoon stretches 156 miles from Ponce De Leon Inlet in New Smyrna Beach in the north, to Jupiter Inlet near West Palm Beach to the south. The Indian River Lagoon system includes Mosquito Lagoon, Banana River Lagoon and Indian River. This is a unique and diverse system that connects Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin counties.
