Tarrant County’s Credit Union presents check to Humane Society of North Texas

FORT WORTH, TX (January 25, 2018) — Tarrant County’s Credit Union donates $1,594 to the Humane Society of North Texas on January 11, 2018.
Throughout the year money is collected through TCCU’s Charity Is Good savings account program. This program gives members the opportunity to give back “rounded up dollar amounts” from purchases made using their TCCU debit Mastercard. Additional funds were collected through over-the-counter donations and fundraisers. The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is the largest and longest standing non-profit animal rescue and adoption organization in North Texas. This is the third consecutive year that TCCU has selected HSNT as the recipient of these funds.

“The Humane Society of North Texas depends on the support of our community to carry out our life-saving mission. It is because of support from community partners lite the Tarrant County’s Credit Union that we are able to improve the lives of thousands of animals and people who love them each year. We would like to thank the Tarrant County’s Credit Union for their ongoing support of our work,” HSNT’s Community Outreach Coordinator, Peggy Brown, said.
TCCU’s Business Development Coordinator, Melissa Burleson, works hard to build relationships with worthy community organizations. TCCU’s goal is to be a strong financial institution and a valued and respected community partner.

“We’re so thankful that our members support the Charity is Good Program. The Charity is Good Program, introduced in 2015 continues to provide a convenient way for members to give assistance to those in need in our community. It has been a pleasure giving to the Humane Society of North Texas,” Burleson, said.

Tarrant County’s Credit Union is happy to announce that Alliance for Children will be the recipient of funds raised with the Charity Is Good Program in 2018. Throughout the year TCCU coordinates with other organizations and credit unions on projects and initiatives, seeking to be a positive change in the lives of those that are being served.
