TBA Credit Union awards Silver Lake Elementary School

TRAVERSE CITY, MI (December 27, 2018) — On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, TBA Credit Union awarded Kristen Gowen of Silver Lake Elementary School a classroom improvement grant of $300.00.

Kristin is the music teacher for Silver Lake Elementary and plans to use the funds to purchase children’s books used to make connections to musical concepts. The books will not only enhance classroom instruction, but also provide students additional books to read during free time in class.

“Awarding Silver Lake Elementary funds for the music program has been a fulfilling opportunity and experience,” says Kajsa Stolberg, TBACU Member Service Representative and Classroom Improvement Grant Committee member. “It is so rewarding to help provide teachers with the resources they need to enhance and expand education.”

TBA Credit Union allocates $7,000.00 every calendar year for Classroom Improvement Grants. Visit tbacu.com/investedin to learn more about applying and see our previous grant recipients.
