Teachers FCU gains new VP of Consumer Lending

John Phipps joined Evansville (Indiana) Teachers Federal Credit Union as Vice President of Consumer Lending. Phipps oversees direct and indirect consumer lending, the consumer lending operations team, and the asset protection team.

He came to ETFCU after serving as Chief Lending Officer at Heritage Federal Credit Union. He previously was Chief Credit Officer with Farmers State Bank, and Vice President, Manager of Private Banking with Fifth Third Bank.

Phipps is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in business administration with a concentration on finance and economics. He also graduated from the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin, and completed the Credit Union Executive Societies (CUES), three CEO institutes, and earned the CCE designation.

Phipps has been a board member for Habitat for Humanity of Evansville for nearly 15 years.
