The Detroit Free Press names CP Federal Credit Union a winner of the Michigan 2018 Top Workplaces Award

CP Federal Credit Union, who currently has branches serving in Jackson, Mason, Parma, Brooklyn, Grass Lake, and soon to be Saline, has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Detroit Free Press for the 5th year running. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

“Every day I walk through the doors I am impacted by the stellar staff we have at CP Federal Credit Union”, stated President/CEO Chrissy Siders. “Our staff are purpose driven, empowered, and resilient.  They take their role of cultivating legacies and being good stewards of the assets entrusted to them very seriously. Earning Top Workplace for the 5th year in a row is only possible because of the employees who work tirelessly to deliver the credit union difference to the people and places we serve”, stated Siders.

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”

“The employee engagement survey frames our culture and provides critical feedback as we work to understand what motivates our employees and look for ways to meet those needs”, stated Siders. “The engagement scores and employee comments drive our organization. This year, we reviewed the results with each department and sought additional feedback and context to craft strategic engagement initiatives to continue building our culture. The employee engagement survey allows us to live out our value of two-way feedback, graciously welcomed and respectfully given”, Siders explained. Achieving the 5 year mile-stone for a Top Workplace is a reflection of our focus on people over profit, process and product and we can’t wait to continue the good culture work that has been started”, finished Siders.
