The York Chapter of Credit Unions awards three scholarships!

On Monday, May 7, 2018, the York Chapter of Credit Unions announced the winners of its 2018 scholarship contest; Carmen and Philip Andreoli and Daniel Hanuska.  All three received $1,000 to go towards their first year of schooling.

Carmen Andreoli is the son of Anthony and Tina Andreoli. Carmen is a senior at Red Land Senior High School where he is ranked third in his graduating class. He is on the Distinguished honor roll, is part of the Jazz Band, volunteers for the Mini Thon Committee, serves as President of Student Council, and is part of the National Honor Society, just to name a few. He plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh Honors College in the fall to pursue a degree in Bioengineering or Actuarial Science.  Carmen is a member of Members 1st Federal Credit Union.

Philip Andreoli is the son of Anthony and Tina Andreoli. Philip is a senior at Red Land Senior High School where he is ranked second in his graduating class. He is on the Distinguished honor roll, is part of the Jazz Band, volunteers for the Mini Thon Committee, serves as Vice-President of Student Council, and is part of the National Honor Society, just to name a few. Philip plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh Honors College in the fall to pursue a degree in Industrial Engineering.  Philip is a member of Members 1st Federal Credit Union.

Daniel Hanuska is the son of John and Betsy Hanuska. Daniel is a senior at Dallastown Area High where he is a part of the Cross Country and Track Team.  He is on the Distinguished honor roll and is on the National Honor Society and Math Honor Society. He plans to attend Penn State University in the fall, majoring in Physics and wants to eventually earn a PH D. Daniel is a member of First Capital Federal Credit Union.

“We are proud to support our Credit Union members by offering these scholarships,” said Bill Bowker, Chapter President.  “We wish all of them success in college.”
