Time to tee off: GTE FINANCIAL to host 9th Annual Scholarship Scramble Golf Tournament
TAMPA, FL (March 10, 2022) — After a year-long hiatus due to the global pandemic, GTE Financial, one of Tampa’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is excited to announce the return of the annual Scholarship Scramble Golf Tournament at The Club Cheval on March 28 at noon.
All funds raised by the Scholarship Scramble benefit the credit union’s Student Scholarship program. GTE aims to award up to 24 scholarships this year and create a memorable experience for participating players and sponsors.
“We at GTE are thrilled to announce the return of this tournament,” says Steven Robinson, Vice President of Audit Services, who has directed the tournament every year since its inception, “In 2020, we had 110 players and raised enough money to award 24 $2,500 scholarships for a total of $60,000 and are excited to do the same this year.”
“This tournament and the remarkable support we receive from participants, volunteers, corporate partners, and local businesses, allows us to make significant investments in the future of local students who have demonstrated excellence both in the classroom and in the community.”
Participants in the golf tournament can expect fun surprises throughout the course, like a tee-off evening reception, food and drinks, premium raffle prizes, championship belts, and an awards dinner.
