TMG and CPI Card Group to Host EMV Webinar for Community Financial Institutions
DES MOINES, IA (June 13, 2013) The Members Group (TMG), in conjunction with CPI Card Group (CPI), will host a complimentary webinar, “EMV Strategy in the U.S.,” for financial institutions (FIs) on Monday, June 17. The hour-long event will reveal how American FIs are learning from the experiences of other countries as they prepare their unique strategies for EMV migration.
“As one of the last major markets in the world to implement EMV, the U.S. faces a payments marketplace full of questions, doubts and anticipation,” said Brandon Kuehl, TMG product development architect. “With webinars like this, we hope to give FI card teams confidence in their ability to lay out a manageable roadmap and to also set some expectations around the likely return on their EMV investments.”
During the webinar, Kuehl, along with Thomas Grouard Lillelund, CPI senior manager, EMV and new technologies, will discuss U.S. market readiness for EMV. They’ll share strategies being implemented across the country by both retailers and FIs, as well as outline the various implementation models and technologies relevant to EMV chip and debit cards.
