TMG hires, promotes financial industry experts to support company growth

DES MOINES, IA (October 29, 2015) — TMG (The Members Group) today announced the addition of five employees and the promotion of a senior marketing executive. The company counts 340 employees today, which represents growth of 60 percent in two years. TMG experienced this growth as a result of a 60-percent increase in client projects, expansion into Canada and the addition of several high-profile clients. The payment processor now services seven of the 13 largest credit unions in the U.S.

Three client business executives, Jennifer Gibson, Christopher Olson and Edward Monteleagre, have joined the payment processor’s client development team. The team is responsible for developing deep, consultative relationships with clients to help them achieve their strategic goals.

Gibson brings extensive experience leading retail banking organizations, working both with national and community financial institutions. Most recently, she served as the chief retail banking officer for Two Rivers Bank & Trust. Her experience provides a solid understanding of the challenges facing financial institutions and the opportunities to achieve growth in today’s market.

Olson comes to TMG from Linn Area Credit Union, where he served as director of card services. In that position, he gained extensive experience using data analytics to optimize the credit union’s credit and debit card portfolios. Olson also served as project lead for the cooperative’s EMV chip card migration and Apple Pay planning. Prior to working for the credit union, he was branch manager for U.S. Bank where he earned several branch accolades, including a No. 1 ranking in credit card bookings and first position in the bank’s district production ranking for eight consecutive quarters.

With more than 30 years in financial services, Monteleagre brings a wealth of business development and customer service expertise to TMG. Prior to joining TMG, he held two vice-president positions within The Independent Bankers Bank (TIB) in Lawrenceville, Ga. There, he was responsible for a variety of business development activities, including management of a national card services sales team. Monteleagre has also worked in a series of sales, leadership and customer service roles with Southeast Bankcard Association, First Data and Norwest Financial (now Wells Fargo).

In addition to the three client business executives, Stacy Hockaday has joined the TMG sales team as a director of new client partnerships. With more than 20 years in the financial industry, Hockaday brings strong sales and operations experience to the payments processor. Previously senior director of operations for CRM Strategy, Hockaday is an expert in the creation, development and deployment of customer relationship management strategy. For WU Sales & Account Management, she increased sales and account management revenue dramatically through the creation of new initiatives, communication processes and CRM tool strategy. Over the span of her career, Hockaday has also held sales and operations positions with Western Union Financial Services and First Data.

Carol Quillen has also joined TMG and its sister companies as vice president of risk management for the payment processor’s parent company, Affiliates Management Company. She oversees risk management for TMG, as well as Coopera, PolicyWorks and TMG Financial Services. Quillen joins the company from Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, where she held a variety of positions over a span of 10 years, serving most recently as information security officer. Quillen has more than 14 years of experience in risk management in the financial services industry, with expertise in risk management, information security and business continuity. She has an additional four years of experience in military intelligence in the U.S. Army.

Georgann Smith has been promoted to vice president of marketing and brand strategy. In this role, she is responsible for branding, product marketing, advertising, event marketing, public relations and communications for TMG’s business and consumer segments. Smith leads a team of marketers, writers and designers who manage everything from critical client communications to new product launches. Prior to joining TMG in 2007, Smith served as vice president of marketing for Industry People Group. She was also senior marketing manager for Dice and held marketing positions with MidAmerican Energy and the Kansas Department of Commerce over the span of her 25-year career.
