NewGround, a St. Louis-based innovative architecture, design, and project management firm, recently announced multiple new additions to NewGround, including Greg Kerr, Andrew Martiszus, Don Pierce, Jr., and Renee Watts.
These recent appointments reflect NewGround’s commitment to ensuring the company is well-positioned to take advantage of new growth opportunities ahead.

The new employees join NewGround in the following positions:
Greg Kerr, Systems Administrator
With over 15 years of experience working in IT with programs like Windows Server and Citrix, Greg joins NewGround’s IT Team as Systems Administrator. His role includes installing, supporting, and maintaining backend infrastructure. Greg graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management information systems from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Andrew Martiszus, Project Engineer
Andrew joins NewGround’s Delivery Team as Project Engineer. In this role, he is responsible for supporting the Project Manager and assisting with various responsibilities such as contract administration requirements, submittals and requests for information logs, project scheduling, and project closeouts. Andrew graduated with a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Indiana State University and holds an OSHA 30-hour certification.
Don Pierce, Jr., Electrical Designer
Joining NewGround’s Engineering Team as Electrical Designer, Don has over two years of experience developing electrical construction documents, updating drawings, and ensuring package submittals are delivered in a timely manner. In his role, Don will apply engineering fundamentals to design electrical systems including lighting, power, and special systems, as well as prepare electrical construction documents. Don graduated with a degree in Electrical Systems Design Technology from Ranken Technical College in St. Louis.
Renee Watts, Help Desk Specialist II (Security)
With over 13 years of experience in IT operations and administration, Renee joins NewGround’s IT Team as the Help Desk Specialist II (Security) in the Chicago office. Her role includes installing, maintaining, and supporting server, desktop, and laptop hardware and software as well as monitoring systems to ensure network availability. Renee graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in interactive arts and media from Columbia College in Chicago and holds a certification in CompTIA A+.
